General Questions
Are Melcor REIT and Melcor Developments the same company?
Melcor Developments Ltd. (TSX:MRD) has been in the business of real estate since 1923. In 2013, we spun off Melcor REIT to acquire and grow our commercial property portfolio. The Melcor REIT Initial Public Offering (IPO) took place on May 1, 2013 at $10/unit. Melcor retains controlling ownership and as such, Melcor REIT results are rolled up into Melcor’s financial results.
The REIT has no employees, so the day to day operations are managed by Melcor Developments through asset and property management agreements.

Because we take great pride in what we build and own, we work with exceptional contractors who share our passion for quality and customer service.
We currently have contracts in place for services at all of our properties and are not accepting unsolicited introductions. Thank you for your interest in working with us.
